Xostel.com was born out of frustration with existing hostel booking platforms. As avid backpackers ourselves, we found that many sites were cluttered with options, making it difficult to identify truly great hostels among the mediocre ones.

We started in 2023 with a simple idea: what if we created a platform that only featured the best hostels? We began by scraping information from multiple sources, including Hostelworld, Booking.com, and Google, and then applied our own filtering criteria.
