About Copenhagen
Copenhagen consistently ranks in the top 10 for quality of life, and it’s easy to see why. You won’t find people rushing around like in other cities in Europe, but you will find a wealth of culture, cafes, bars and clubs to keep you entertained. Walking is encouraged, and if you’re fan of two-wheels, it’s the perfect way to get some fresh air and exercise, while exploring the city at your own pace.
Finding cheap accommodation in Copenhagen is one of the more challenging aspects of planning a trip to the Danish capital. Thankfully, there are plenty of youth hostels in Copenhagen close to the city centre that offer private rooms and shared dorms for the more budget-conscious solo traveller.
or backpackersThe best hostels in Copenhagen can’t be beaten when it comes to convenience. You can find cheap rooms close to the city centre that put you within walking distance of all the best sights. Expect bars serving local craft beer, courtyard gardens and homemade breakfast. Some hostels also offer bike tours, morning runs and yoga classes, so make sure to check what’s available before you book.
Thanks to its size, the majority of youth hostels in Copenhagen are close to downtown, which puts you within easy reach of the canals and colourful houses of Nyhavn. Go exploring and it won't be long before you find offbeat shops, art galleries and local watering holes. As a side note: Drinking can be expensive, unless you start with one of these budget-friendly bars in Copenhagen.

Getting from the airport to the city centre is easy, regardless of whether you choose to take the metro, train, bus or jump in a taxi. The metro and train will get you there in 15 minutes, and they both depart from terminal 3. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines and DSB sales counters.
If you plan on staying in the city centre, you might not need more than a good pair of walking shoes, but there’s also the option of renting a bicycle for the duration of your stay. You could also buy a City Pass, which gives you unlimited travel on buses, trains and the metro in zones 1-4 of Copenhagen.
